Douglas A. Blaze
Dean and Art Stolnitz and Elvin E. Overton Distinguished Professor of Law
Professor Blaze, who received a J.D. summa cum laude degree from Georgetown University, was appointed Dean of the College of Law in 2008. Professor Blaze joined the faculty in 1993 as Director of Clinical Programs. Prior to coming to Tennessee, Professor Blaze was on a member of the law faculty at Arizona State University where he helped establish a community-based legal service clinic. He also practiced with the firm of Fennemore Craig in Phoenix, where his practice involved both commercial and tort litigation.

Carol Parker
Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor of Law and Director of Legal Writing
Professor Parker helps students master the complex skill of legal writing as director of writing and also as coordinator of UT’s academic support program. She was director of the writing programs at DePaul University and Indiana University before joining the UT faculty in 1994. She has written articles on legal writing and torts and has served as chair of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning and Research. Professor Parker has received the Carden Award for Outstanding Service to the Institution and the Forrest W. Lacey Award. She has also worked in private practice in Chicago.

Sibyl Marshall
Associate Professor and Head of Public Services, Joel A. Katz Law Library
Professor Marshall teaches Legal Research I and II, as well as providing reference and research assistance to all library patrons. As Head of Public Services, she is responsible for managing reference, circulation, interlibrary loan, bibliographic instruction, and other library matters directly affecting library patrons.

Katrice Morgan
Assistant Dean
Katrice Jones Morgan was named assistant dean in July of 2007, after serving as an assistant district attorney general in Knox County, Tennessee for six years. Before practicing law, she was an assistant director for advising services for the University's College of Arts and Sciences.
Dean Morgan earned a B.A. with honors from the University of Tennessee in 1990 and a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans in 1997.
Dean Morgan administers the College's academic program. Additionally, she facilitates student life by supporting student organizations, providing counsel to students regarding academics and other concerns, and serving as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students.
